Erie Animal Network was founded in 2011 as a place for concerned citizens in Erie County Pennsylvania to come together to help local animals in need. Since inception, EAN, lead by a dedicated core group of volunteers has helped thousands of lost & found pets get back home using grass roots networking on a local level, or have worked together to find resources for stray and abandoned pets.
As we grew, we added valuable services for our community such as a Community Pet Food Bank to help reduce owner surrender and animal abandonment, partnering with Safe Net Domestic Violence to assist women leaving situations of domestic abuse by providing a list of volunteer fosters for their pets, free community education classes on various pet and animal related subjects, and feral cat caretaker support with a mission to help stabilize the stray cat overpopulation in Erie County through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return, assistance with shelters and food to support these often forgotten cats in our community, as well as outreach for chained dogs in Erie County.

Unfortunately, we are closed to intakes due to a lack of space and resources to intake any more animals at this time. You can try to reach other shelters to seek intake, however, they are likely in the same situation right now. EAN's priority mission is to assist the homeless street animals of Erie County who are in need. EAN does not accept any owner surrenders. We intake street rescues as our resources and space allow. We do have some programs which may help that we would like to share:
We have a pet food bank to assist with pet food needs. If you would like to sign up for our pet food bank, contact us HERE. We offer free straw bedding for feral or outdoor community cats to stay warm (request Free Straw HERE). We have a no-cost Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return program for community cats to stop the cycle of homeless kittens, (sign up HERE).
If you find a stray who is sick or injured, please contact the police non-emergency number for assistance. If you have a hurt, sick or injured feline, EAN will always do our best to help case by case as our resources allow. If you have an ER feline situation, please call or text this number with photos and details 814-504-3246 (please only send messages in case of a true emergency) We hope this information helps, and if you need specifics on any of the above programs, please let us know.

New Adoption Kits!
All new EAN adopted kitties will go home with an awesome 'adoption kit' which includes treats, a toy, an adorable adoption certificate, new adopter care information all within a folder you can use to keep your kitty paperwork in!

We are thrilled to work with our friends at Pet Supplies Plus to showcase two of our EAN adoptable cats on a weekly basis. The staff takes great care of our kitties who are staying the week, and the kitties are able to meet lots of wonderful pet lovers who may be interested in adoption! Libby's Fund- Fully Funded!
Liberty House is a 10-bed transitional housing program for homeless Veteran men in Erie with a very important supportive feline member of the home, Libby! Liberty House reached out to Erie Animal Network to seek assistance to support Ms. Libby's needs. You see, the Veterans themselves chip in to provide all her food, litter and medical care and you can imagine it does pose a challenge to their personal budgets. EAN agreed to help form a nest egg of sorts so no one needs to worry about Libby being provided for. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to drop off a check to Liberty House for Libby's Fund for a whopping $1655.00!
Libby will have all her medical and food needs supported without any strain on their budgets.
